Lola Morgan (born Morgan Elizabeth Wilcock, 1994) is a filmmaker and novelist based in New York. Her short documentary, This Gay & Age, was featured in the 2012 PBS Online Film Festival and screened at the University of Chicago and School of Visual Arts in New York. While attending undergrad at Columbia University, Lola began making short pieces of video journalism and practiced writing essays and articles for seminars and film criticism blogs. Lola’s college student film Dark Lady Blues, shot in 2015, was provided a release and ad campaign by New York City’s Made in NY™ Marketing Credit program. The unexpected outcome of this project encouraged Lola to spend 2017-18 writing a collection of screenplays to be redone as films in the 2020-30s with actors in mind. Lola currently lives in New York, where she operates as a freelance editor of digital video using Final Cut Pro [7, X] and Adobe Premiere.
